Rainmakers Awards 2025 – Cattaneo Corporate Finance nominated
Cattaneo Corporate Finance is delighted to be shortlisted for the West Midlands Rainmaker Awards at the forthcoming awards dinner at the Burlington Hotel in Birmingham on 3 July 2025.
Cattaneo is nominated in the Regional Corporate Finance Team of the Year category which includes those firms with a West Midlands rather than national base. The competition appears to be fierce with other leading firms also nominated.
We have enjoyed a busy year in which we have deployed our wide skill base to assist numerous clients with achieving their strategic aims. M&A transactions which will have caught the judges eye include advising Kindred Education on two acquisitions as well as acting for Ash & Lacy on its acquisition of automotive decorative components manufacturer Vestatec UK based in Nottingham.
On the equity side we advised Bristol-based Ski Zoom (trading as Heidi) on raising development capital funding from Mercia Ventures and Active Partners while we deployed our professional audio sector expertise to advise on an equity fundraise for London-based Karno Sound, investing in both these transactions ourselves.
Our debt advisory team completed the refinancings of Oaklands Plastics with Close Brothers and Q19 Group, trading as Window Widgets and Residence Collection, with HSBC. It also advised GIL Investments on raising acquisition finance from IGF to support its acquisition of Phoenix Gas Services.
In unannounced deals we deployed our Takeover Code expertise in agreeing a Rule 9 (mandatory cash offer) waiver for a listed property company client while also undertaking a major valuation project for a £100m turnover Midlands-based diversified engineering group.
TheBusinessDesk.com’s West Midlands editor Anna Cooper said:
“We are always innovating and evolving these community awards, and so we’d like to especially thank our judges for being part of a lively shortlisting process where they brought their collective wisdom, experience and market knowledge to the process. We are now looking forward to celebrating the very best of the region’s corporate finance community at the awards dinner in July.”
Charles Cattaneo commented:
“We are delighted that our recent success has been recognised with this nomination for the Rainmakers’ Awards 2025. I would like to thank our forward-looking clients for trusting us with their important transactions and our fantastic team for the hard work they have put in on our clients’ behalf.”
