Cattaneo Corporate Finance identifies Rockwell as a strategic acquisition for Camvac.
In a deal originated by Cattaneo, Camvac International, a global leader in specialist metallisation, lamination, and high-barrier film technologies has acquired Sappi Rockwell Solutions, a prominent packaging manufacturer based in Dundee, Scotland.
This strategic acquisition brings together two of the UK’s most innovative packaging specialists. By combining Camvac’s expertise in high-barrier coatings and vacuum metallisation with Rockwell’s world-class capabilities in peelable lidding films and heat-seal technologies, the business is firmly positioned to provide an unparalleled range of sustainable packaging solutions to the global food, liquid packaging, and industrial markets.
The acquisition marks a significant milestone in Camvac’s growth strategy, expanding its manufacturing footprint to Dundee and strengthening its position as a primary partner for brands seeking advanced, recyclable, and high-performance film structures.
Cattaneo, who have a long-standing relationship with Camvac, originated the transaction having identified the fit with Rockwell.
Commenting on the transaction Greg Kingham, CEO at Camvac International said:
“We are thrilled to welcome the Rockwell team into the Camvac family. This acquisition is about more than just scale; it’s about synergy. Rockwell’s reputation for excellence in the lidding film sector perfectly complements our core barrier technology. Together, we are better positioned to drive innovation and meet the evolving sustainability demands of our customers.”
Richard Newman of Cattaneo added:
“We are pleased to have played our part in identifying this strategic acquisition. We know the Camvac business and management team well having advised on the MBO in November 2023. We build long-lasting relationships with our clients, helping them to achieve their long term objectives. The combination with Rockwell significantly enhances the group’s capabilities and global reach.”
