OASIS is recognised as one of the fastest growing and most dynamic companies in the records and information management industry with services in the Republic of Ireland, Northern Ireland, Great Britain, Belgium and The Netherlands. OASIS is owned by US private equity firms Housatonic Partners, Sverica International and Oros Management.
The Cattaneo team was led by Gary Hyem with legal advice from John Heaton of Higgs & Sons and tax advice from Robert King of Smith & Williamson.
Commenting on the transaction, Paul Byrne said:
“As owner managers selling our business in our only ever corporate transaction we were not used to dealing with multinationals who buy and sell companies on a regular basis. The Cattaneo team provided us with straightforward, pragmatic and commercial advice. They helped negotiate a deal we are very pleased with and made sure that we understood the key elements of the transaction and their implications. Their attention to detail whilst still maintaining a “big picture” overview and understanding, meant they more than delivered our objectives.”
Gary Hyem, advising the shareholders said:
“It was a pleasure working with Paul and Sandra on their cross-border sale. They are people who really valued advice. OASIS is a good new owner that is looking to expand its UK operations and Archive 2000 will help with this strategic aim.”
