Charles has over 18 years corporate finance experience gained in investment banking, industry and most recently with KPMG where he was formerly a corporate finance partner. He also has two years experience as Finance Director working on the successful turnaround of a significant private group of companies.
Charles Cattaneo
Charles is experienced in all aspects of corporate finance and he is particularly experienced in public company transactions where he has advised on over 30 public takeovers. During his career to date he has personally advised on over £2.5bn worth of corporate transactions including hostile and recommended takeovers, acquisitions, disposals, equity and debt fund raisings, transfers to the Full List and to AIM and flotations.
Charles is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) and a Fellow of the Securities Institute. He also holds the ICAEW corporate finance qualification. He has an MBA from Birmingham University where he also read commerce.
Charles remains committed to the public stock markets and is currently the Chairman of the West Midlands Regional Advisory Group of the London Stock Exchange.
He has been a judge on the Panel for the Birmingham Post/Birmingham Forward sponsored Deal of the Year Awards simce 2003 and has regularly had his clients deals featured as either deal of the year or runner up.

Chris Hawkley
Chris has over 15 years experience in corporate finance as a Director of Albert E Sharp, a corporate stockbroker, and subsequently with Arthur Andersen. During this time he advised a number of public company clients on over 100 transactions including IPO’s, merger & acquisitions and secondary fund raisings on both the Official List and AIM.
He has specialised in advising early stage and start up companies on fast track flotation and worked closely with The London Stock Exchange on developing the rules for such transactions and the launch of AIM where he was one of the first Nominated Advisers.
From 2000 - 2005 Chris was a business development director for Barclays Private Bank where he was responsible for advising high net worth clients of the bank on all aspects of business exit strategy.
Chris is a graduate of Southampton University in Accountancy and Commerce. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, a Member of the Securities Institute and a Fellow of the Royal Society for Arts. He was for several years a Director of Birmingham Forward the lobby group for professional firms in the City and was the first Chairman of the Transport Committee where he was involved with consultations and representations to the Government on a number of important Midlands infrastructure projects.

Gavin Lewis
Gavin is a Chartered Accountant with over 16 years experience of working as an accountant and business advisor to a wide range of businesses.
Gavin spent 15 years at KPMG, 8 years within the restructing department and 7 years within the owner managed business unit, working with small and medium sized clients on a wide range of issues including business planning and financial forecast modelling.
