Charles has over 20 years corporate finance experience gained in investment banking, industry and as a corporate finance partner with KPMG and Grant Thornton. He also has two years experience as Finance Director working on the successful turnaround of a significant private group of companies.

Charles Cattaneo
He is experienced in all aspects of corporate finance and has advised on over 80 completed public transactions including 35 City Code takeovers (7 were P2Ps). To date he has personally advised on over £3bn worth of corporate transactions including hostile and recommended takeovers, acquisitions, disposals, equity and debt fund raisings, transfers to the Full List and to AIM and flotations.
Charles is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) and a Fellow of the Securities and Investment Institute. He also holds the ICAEW corporate finance qualification. He has an MBA from Birmingham University where he also read commerce.
He is a non executive director of an AIM traded company and is currently the Chairman of the West Midlands Regional Advisory Group of the London Stock Exchange.

Ian Stanway
Ian has over 20 years corporate finance experience gained in investment banking and corporate stockbroking firms including; Brewin Dolphin, Williams de Broë, Allied Provincial and Lloyds Merchant Bank and as a specialist corporate finance adviser with the Capital Markets team at Grant Thornton.
He is experienced in a wide range of corporate finance activities including recommended takeovers, hostile defences, acquisitions, disposals, fund raising, including placings, rights issues and debt raising, capital re-organisations, flotations on the Official List and AIM and transfers between those two markets. Ian has advised on over 20 public company takeovers, P2Ps and hostile defences.
Ian is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and a Member of the Securities and Investment Institute.

Stephen is a Chartered Accountant with over 9 years corporate finance experience advising a wide range of businesses across a number of sectors including Engineering & Manufacturing, Support Services, Media and Telecommunications.

Stephen Bishop
Stephen has advised companies, private equity houses and management teams on transactions, ranging in size from £1million to over £100million, including company disposals, management buy-outs and buy-ins, debt and equity fund raising. He has also advised companies on their business planning and processes and designed financial models in support of transactions and for use as management information tools.
He graduated from the University of Warwick in 1997 and joined RSM Robson Rhodes as a graduate audit trainee, moving to the Corporate Finance team in 2000. Following the merger with RSM Robson Rhodes, Stephen joined Grant Thornton's corporate finance team in July 2007. He also holds the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales Corporate Finance qualification.

Nigel trained as a chartered accountant with KPMG in Birmingham and spent two years with them in Melbourne, Australia. During the late 80’s and early 90’s he specialised in Corporate Recovery work and is a licensed insolvency practitioner, becoming a partner in Robson Rhodes in 1993. During the late 90’s Nigel specialised in Corporate Finance with Ernst & Young and carried out major re-organisations such as that of Railtrack.

Nigel Bacon
In 2002 he joined the Pertemps Group, being appointed to the main board in 2003 and took responsibility for the Treasury function as well as extensive M&A work. Nigel became group finance director in 2004. Following the flotation of Network Group Holdings Plc out of Pertemps in 2007, Nigel was appointed its finance director and subsequently led the sale of Pertemps People Development Group for an enterprise value of £43m.
He is currently the senior non-executive director of Media Square plc (an AIM listed company) and has also served on the Regional Council of the West Midlands CBI. Having left Pertemps and Network Group Holdings Plc in early 2009 he remains a consultant to those companies as well as a consultant to Forward Group.
