Birmingham based advisers, Cattaneo, have advised on the cross border sale of Dartex, which has operations in the UK and the US, to Swedish headquartered Trelleborg.
Trelleborg has, through its business area Trelleborg Coated Systems, acquired Dartex Holdings Limited. Dartex has its head office and a production facility in Long Eaton, England. It has another production facility in North Smithfield, Rhode Island, U.S. The sale of Dartex broadens Trelleborg’s offering and strengthens it’s position as a premium supplier of engineered coated fabrics. Trelleborg Coated Systems is based in Milan, Italy, with the Trelleborg Group head office located in Sweden
Dartex specialises in the design and manufacture of coated fabrics primarily for the healthcare & medical industry and is a world leader in coated fabrics for pressure injury prevention. It also serves customers with high performance outdoor apparel and linings for sewer rehabilitation.
